I am a visual artist working in Belfast and would be interested in working with you to produce some images for a forthcoming intertnational exhibition titled BODY. The exhibition is being organised by the studio group Creative Exchange, which is funded by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland. The brief of the exhibition and the subject matter is 'BODY - an artistic exploration of the physical and mental challenges that we experience through our bodies'. Several artists are working with 'disabled artists' on the project but even that term raises issues with myself. However, my take on the project was contenected to the dressage element of your work - ballet for horses, which in itself is a performance and visual artform. I have always had a strong love and affection for horses and equestrianism and reference it often in my work.
I would really like to meet up or talk to you re the project. I realise your time is limited, but I had thought of taking photographs of you and the horses training, or at a show and perhaps get some of your own thoughts on tape - a visual documentary of a day in the life sort of thing. Funding pending there may be a small fee involved and I would be able to travel within Ireland to meet up with you and take some shots.
